Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is considering Didier Deschamps as a potential replacement for manager Jose Mourinho, according to Radio Marca.
Perez is reportedly assessing the former France manager as an option if Mourinho fails to improve the team’s situation.
Real Madrid are fourth in La Liga after eight matches, with 18 points. Their next game is at home against Sevilla on 18 October.
Deschamps, 58, has been without a club or international role since the 2026 World Cup, after leaving the France national team.
The former midfielder has previously managed Monaco, Juventus and Marseille. During his time in charge of France, he led the team to victory at the 2018 World Cup and the 2020/21 Nations League.
