West Bromwich Albion are set to be without talisman Josh Maja after he picked up a lower leg injury that requires surgery, invariably keeping him out of action for several weeks, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The club confirmed the news through an official statement which reads;
"Josh Maja is set to be out for several weeks after sustaining a lower leg injury. The 26-year-old striker will undergo surgery in the coming days before entering a period of rehabilitation.
"Albion hope to have Maja back in contention during the spring. Everyone at the club wishes Josh well in his recovery."
He is set to miss a sizeable amount of games starting from the Sky Bet Championship clash against Stoke City.
