Dannaz Ladies FC are set for an ambitious 2024/25 NWFL campaign as the Cedars gear up to battle Nasarawa Amazons in the season opener at the Lafia City Stadium in what promises to be a thrilling encounter, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.
In their second Premiership appearance as they finished 4th on 18 points and missed the play-offs last time out, the ultimate push for an improved top finish has set the team in motion for a strong start as the NWFL hits an incredible 35th season.
The Lagos-based outfit is pitted in the same group which includes; defending champions Edo Queens, Nasarawa Amazons, Abia Angels, Heartland Queens, Confluence Queens, and Ekiti Queens, 8 teams in Group A and 8 in Group B, a total of 16 participants.
Although the Northern Central side held the upper hand in two previous meetings, the improved Fatai Bashiru's led team is braced up for redemption in the crucial opener today by 4pm.
Following the game against Christopher Danjuma's side, Dannaz Ladies will then play host to Confluence Queens at the Onikan Stadium on 22 January by 4pm for match-week 2.
