Benin U20 international Germaine Honfo says she is pleased to have experienced top-level football after her side were eliminated from the Women’s U20 World Cup on Friday evening.
Benin opened their campaign with a draw against Mexico before suffering consecutive defeats by Argentina and Poland.
Following the loss to Poland, Honfo reflected positively on the team’s participation and the experience gained from competing at the tournament.
“It is an experience and I am very happy to have lived through it because I have experienced the highest level,” Honfo said in a message shared on social media.
“I do not set myself any limits. In any case, perhaps next year I could find myself at a World Cup again.”
