Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has become the 11th player in LaLiga history to score in each of the opening five rounds of a season, matching a record last achieved by Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2009.
The 37-year-old forward scored in Deportivo La Coruna’s 1-1 draw with Getafe, extending his run to five consecutive league matches at the start of the 2026/27 campaign.
Aubameyang began the sequence with a goal against Elche, before finding the net against Malaga, Valencia and Villarreal.
The former Gabon captain has scored five goals and provided two assists so far this season, helping Antonio Hidalgo’s newly promoted side remain unbeaten.
The feat places Aubameyang alongside a select group of LaLiga players and ends a 17-year wait since Ibrahimovic achieved the same milestone.
