Virgil van Dijk led Liverpool for the 200th time as captain in their seventh-round English league match against Brentford.
The Netherlands defender’s milestone came as Liverpool responded to their 3-0 defeat by Manchester City in the previous round. The Reds secured a 2-1 victory over Brentford to recover from that setback.
Liverpool’s next match will be at Anfield, where Andoni Iraola’s side will face Brighton on 25 October, the following Sunday.
Van Dijk has played for Liverpool since 2018.
