Utaka tips Adams for Super Eagles success

Ex-Nigerian international, John Utaka has backed Jerome Adams to become a regular player in the Super Eagles in the future, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Adams has been pushing for a place in the national team since joining Ligue 1 club Montpellier last summer.

However, the presence of established strikers such as Victor Osimhen, Taiwo Awoniyi, Victor Boniface, Terem Moffi, and Paul Onuachu means Adams will have to wait patiently for his chance.

Utaka, who earned 43 caps for Nigeria, believes Adams has the potential to become a top striker for the Super Eagles.

"Adams is a potential Super Eagles striker," Utaka told Brila FM.

"He's a hard worker, has a good size for a striker, and a great mindset.

"I believe he will take his chance in the national team when he is handed one."

Utaka's endorsement will come as a boost to Adams, who will be hoping to make a breakthrough into the Super Eagles squad in the near future.
