On Sunday, 25 October, Udinese will host Milan in the eighth round of the Italian championship, with kick-off scheduled for 22:45 Moscow time.
The home side are currently focused on avoiding relegation from Italy’s top division after collecting only four points from their opening seven matches. Udinese sit 16th in the Serie A table and have scored nine goals while conceding 16.
Their recent run has left them under pressure. Udinese have lost each of their past five matches, being beaten 3-0 by Lecce, 2-1 by Torino, 1-0 by Cagliari, 5-3 by Inter and 2-1 by Lazio.
Milan arrive in considerably stronger form and are targeting a place among the leading teams this season. They have taken 15 points from seven games, which leaves them fourth in the standings.
Milan have scored 14 goals in Serie A so far and conceded seven. Their most recent league results include a 3-2 victory over Atalanta and a 1-1 draw with Sassuolo. Before those matches, they defeated Lecce 3-0.
Milan are yet to lose in Serie A this season and have been listed by bookmakers as the favourites for the match. That record contrasts with Udinese’s sequence of five consecutive defeats.
However, the most recent meeting between the clubs produced a decisive result in Udinese’s favour. Milan suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat in that encounter.
Despite that previous result, the current form of the two teams points towards an away victory. Milan are expected to take advantage of Udinese’s difficult run and extend the hosts’ losing streak.
