Real Madrid are expected to resolve Thibaut Courtois’ future before the end of the season, rather than waiting until the campaign is over as they have often done with older players in recent years.
According to a report in AS, the club continue to value the Belgium goalkeeper’s performances and he is close to signing an extension that would keep him at Real Madrid until the end of the 2027/2028 season.
The 34-year-old is reportedly happy with his current situation and does not want to leave the club, despite receiving lucrative offers from elsewhere.
Courtois has represented Real Madrid since August 2018.
