Paris defeated Monaco 3-1 at home in the ninth round of the French championship, with a first-half double from Sinayoko putting the hosts in control.

Paris gradually took command of the match and turned their dominance into goals late in the opening period. Sinayoko broke the deadlock in the 38th minute before striking again four minutes later to give his side a 2-0 lead at the interval.

Monaco responded with greater urgency after the break and reduced the deficit in the 66th minute. Folarin Balogun’s goal brought the visitors back within one and renewed the contest.

The comeback, however, did not develop further. Pablo Pagis restored Paris’s two-goal advantage in the 74th minute, effectively settling the outcome.

Neither side added to the score in the remaining minutes.
