Former Flying Eagles winger Sani Suleiman has completed his transfer to Saudi Pro League club Al-Qadsiah, according to Completesports.com.
The 20-year-old Nigeria winger joins the side managed by Brendan Rodgers after a short period with Bundesliga club RB Leipzig. Suleiman moved to Germany from Slovakian outfit AS Trencin in January 2026, but was unable to make a competitive appearance for Leipzig.
His time in the Bundesliga was disrupted by fitness problems, which restricted his opportunities to train and play regularly with the first team. The move to Saudi Arabia now gives Suleiman the chance to restart his career and take on a fresh challenge with Al-Qadsiah.
Suleiman first moved to Europe in 2024, joining AS Trencin after attracting attention with his performances for Nigeria National League (NNL) club Akwa United.
He made 34 league appearances for the Slovakian side and scored five goals during his time at the club. Those performances helped establish him as one of Nigeria’s promising young attacking players and led to his subsequent move to Germany.
However, Suleiman’s spell at RB Leipzig did not develop as he had hoped. Fitness issues limited his involvement and prevented him from making a competitive appearance for the Bundesliga club before his departure.
The winger also represented Nigeria at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, having been included in the Flying Eagles squad for the tournament. His involvement with the national youth side added to his experience at international level.
Suleiman will now continue his development in the Saudi Pro League, where he will hope to regain his fitness, secure regular first-team football and revive the momentum built during his time with AS Trencin and Akwa United.
His arrival at Al-Qadsiah represents a new chapter for the former Flying Eagles player following a difficult spell in Germany. After failing to feature competitively for RB Leipzig, he will be looking to make an immediate impact in Saudi Arabia and re-establish himself as an effective attacking option.
The completed transfer follows earlier reports that Al-Qadsiah were preparing to sign the former Flying Eagles winger. With the move now finalised, Suleiman can turn his attention to competing for a place in Brendan Rodgers’ squad and continuing his professional career with the Saudi club.
