Samir Handanovic says his decision to leave Inter was prompted by fundamental disagreements over how the club’s youth system should be run, rather than by a personal dispute.
The former goalkeeper officially departed Inter in June after 14 years with the club. He initially established himself as a key member of the Nerazzurri squad before later joining the coaching staff of the club’s youth teams.
Speaking in an interview, Handanovic explained that differences over the management of Inter’s youth structure ultimately led to the separation.
The Slovenian spent 11 years as Inter’s goalkeeper, from 2012 to 2023.
