Ronald Araujo’s future at Liverpool remains uncertain, but his agent has rejected reports that the club are having second thoughts about signing him permanently.
Liverpool took the Uruguay international on loan from Barcelona until the end of the current season, with an option to buy the 27-year-old for 55m euros.
Recent media reports suggested the English club had changed its position and was now questioning whether it should complete the transfer. However, Araujo’s agent described those claims as unfounded, according to Barca Universal.
Araujo is reportedly happy at Liverpool and has received no indication from the club about its plans for his future.
The defender has made nine appearances for Andoni Iraola’s side and has scored one goal.
