Uruguay defender Ronald Araujo says he is happy at his new club, with one straightforward reason behind his satisfaction: “Here, wages are paid on time.”
Araujo represented Barcelona from 2018 until 2026, but the latter part of his time at the club was affected by psychological difficulties.
The defender had spoken about suffering from depression and, in 2025, asked Barcelona’s management for an indefinite leave of absence.
He was subsequently sold to Liverpool.
