Chelsea may now have to pay twice as much for Roma midfielder Manu Kone after choosing not to pursue a deal during the summer transfer window.
The London club could have signed the 25-year-old France international for about 50m euros last summer, but decided against completing the transfer.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma’s valuation of Kone has since risen to 100m euros following his impressive start to the new campaign.
Kone has made six appearances in all competitions this season and scored two goals. His current contract with Roma runs until the middle of 2029.
The midfielder’s market value is listed at 60m euros by Transfermarkt.
Chelsea had identified Kone as a potential signing before opting not to meet the terms available last summer. Roma’s revised valuation reflects the player’s early-season form and the length of his remaining contract.
