Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika is on the verge of completing a permanent transfer to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt from Belgian champions Club Brugge, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

According to German outlet Kicker, negotiations between both clubs have entered the final stages, with an agreement expected to be finalised early next week.

Eintracht Frankfurt are reportedly prepared to pay €9 million to secure the signature of the 25-year-old, having identified the Nigerian international as a priority target after previously failing in two attempts to bring him to Germany.

Onyedika further strengthened his reputation during last season's UEFA Champions League campaign, notably scoring against Eintracht Frankfurt as Club Brugge recorded an impressive victory over the Bundesliga outfit.

The defensive midfielder has enjoyed a successful spell with Club Brugge since arriving from Danish side FC Midtjylland, establishing himself as one of the club's standout performers.

During his time in Belgium, Onyedika has helped Club Brugge win two Belgian Pro League titles, one Belgian Cup, and one Belgian Super Cup, with his consistent displays attracting interest from several clubs across Europe.

A move to Eintracht Frankfurt would represent another significant step in the Nigerian's career as he prepares for a new challenge in the Bundesliga.
