Reigning Nigeria Premier Football League champions Rangers International will host Nasarawa United at Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri after a late venue change for their rescheduled Matchday Three fixture, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The encounter was originally billed for the Awka City Stadium in Anambra State, which Rangers have been using as their temporary home ground for NPFL matches.
However, the Awka venue is now unavailable, forcing the league champions to move the fixture to Owerri.
Despite the change, the match will still take place on Thursday, September 17, 2026, as originally scheduled.
Rangers have had to make alternative arrangements for their home fixtures following the closure of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu for renovation ahead of the 2026 National Sports Festival.
The Flying Antelopes have also selected the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta as their home venue for their continental campaign.
Rangers will face Algerian giants MC Alger in the first leg of their CAF Champions League tie on October 17, with the return leg scheduled for October 24 in Algeria.
The team that finishes ahead on aggregate over the two legs will book a place in the CAF Champions League group stage.
For Rangers, the immediate focus is on their domestic title defence, with Thursday’s meeting against Nasarawa United providing another opportunity to collect points while adapting to a series of venue changes across their domestic and continental commitments.
