Rangers head coach Paul Clement has given an update on injured Leon Balogun as well as revealing that a potential return date is on the cards for the veteran defender who has been out since January, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The update comes ahead of their Scottish Cup clash against Queen's Park at Ibrox this weekend, revealing the level of fitness of his squad with few players already steeping up their recovery process.
As per Rangers Review, the Belgian gaffer stated that the Nigerian is set to return in approximately in a week's time but it might slightly been more as he doesn't want to rush his return and that of others who are injured neither put pressure on the medical team
“I expect a week after Dujon Sterling and Leon Balogun to be back. Ridvan is back already in training. Leon King is also back in training after his conclusion, and the others, it’s a little bit longer. I don’t want to put one week on it because I don’t want to force my medical staff into a corner.”
Balogun's last appearance came on January 23 during the club's Europa League loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
