Paris FC are close to agreeing a new contract with Rudy Matondo, despite the teenager’s limited involvement since the start of the season.
The 18-year-old is expected to sign a two-year extension that would keep him with the Ligue 1 club until 2030, according to L’Equipe.
Matondo joined Paris FC from Auxerre for €17 million in February and quickly became an important player under former manager Antoine Kombouare.
However, opportunities have been harder to find since Liam Rosenior took charge this summer. Matondo has started only one match and has played 149 minutes across the opening five league games.
The France youth international is understood to be frustrated by his reduced role, but remains aware of the situation and is determined to improve his performances.
