Nigeria international Juwon Oshaniwa has said it was worth the risk to return to action even when not fully fit and help Hearts win 4-0 at Partick Thirstle.
Oshaniwa is nursing a hamstring injury and was not expected to be back in action this weekend against Partick Thirstle, but he was thrown into the fray to secure a big road win for his club.
Hearts are now second behind Celtic with 26 points from 13 games, a point ahead of third-placed Aberdeen.
Oshaniwa revealed he was not fully fit for the game but considering the importance of Saturday’s game to his team's league standing, he decided to take the risk and play the game.
"I wasn't fully fit to play the game, but knowing how important the game is to the team's ambition to climb up the table made me to play and I wasn't disappointed with the team's performance. It was a massive victory, to God be the glory,” he said.
"But for sure I need to stay out for some time, I will wait for the medics advise after taking like two days’ rest."
