Olympiakos make contact over OGC Nice midfielder Hicham Boudaoui

OGC Nice midfielder Hicham Boudaoui has attracted interest from Olympiakos, with initial discussions reportedly held over a possible move during the winter transfer window.

The 27-year-old Algeria international is understood to be on the radar of several clubs, but Olympiakos have been among the first to take concrete steps. According to Greek outlet Red & White, the club’s new sporting director, Antonio Cordon, has already made contact with Boudaoui’s representatives.

Nice are aware that the midfielder’s contract expires on 30 June 2027 and are seeking around 5 million euros to sanction a transfer. That figure is expected to form the starting point for negotiations between the French club and Olympiakos.

Boudaoui’s international experience is believed to be one of the main factors behind the Greek club’s interest. The midfielder was born in Bechar and began his career with Paradou before moving to OGC Nice.

He has also attracted attention from Saudi clubs in recent months, although no agreement was reached. Africafoot previously reported the interest and the failure of that proposed deal.

Despite Nice’s reported asking price of approximately 5 million euros, Boudaoui’s current market valuation is listed at 12 million euros. He earns an annual salary of 290,000 euros, equivalent to 188,500,000 FCFA.

The Algeria international has had limited first-team involvement this season, featuring for only four minutes in Ligue 1. His restricted playing time could add to uncertainty over his future at the club as the winter transfer period approaches.

Nice’s next fixture will come in the sixth round of the French championship, when they face RC Strasbourg. Any decision over Boudaoui’s immediate future will follow the discussions between OGC Nice, Olympiakos and the player’s representatives.
