Recent meetings

Lille have established themselves as a difficult opponent for Monaco in recent seasons. Monaco have lost their past three Ligue 1 meetings with LOSC, matching their longest current losing run against any single side in the competition.

The fixture has also proved challenging for Monaco at home during the 21st century. They have failed to score in 11 of their 24 Ligue 1 home matches against Lille during that period, a poorer attacking record against any other home opponent.

The last five meetings have produced the following results:

- 10 May 2026, Ligue 1: Monaco 0-1 Lille - 24 August 2025, Ligue 1: Lille 1-0 Monaco - 22 February 2025, Ligue 1: Lille 2-1 Monaco - 18 October 2024, Ligue 1: Monaco 0-0 Lille - 24 April 2024, Ligue 1: Monaco 1-0 Lille

Form guide

Filipe Luis’s Monaco side responded strongly to a heavy defeat at Lorient last weekend by beating Fribourg 3-0 in European competition on Thursday.

Despite dropping points in three of their past four domestic matches, recording two draws and one defeat, Monaco remain at the top of the Ligue 1 standings after seven rounds.

Lille’s European campaign has been more difficult since their 4-2 home defeat by Galatasaray in the Champions League. Domestically, however, the northern club have been more convincing, winning three of their past five league games, alongside one draw and one defeat. They are level on points with Monaco at the summit.

The match is expected to be evenly balanced. Lille’s recent advantage in this fixture and their effectiveness away from home favour the visitors, while Monaco’s response in Europe and their strength at Stade Louis II offer counterarguments.

The published prediction is a 1-1 draw. The listed betting odds are 2.05 for a Monaco win, 3.40 for a draw and 3.70 for a Lille victory.
