Milan’s unbeaten start to the Serie A 2026/27 season ended on matchday nine as Bologna won 4-2 at San Siro.
Belgian forward Samuel Mbangula scored a hat-trick for the visitors, while Milan defender Davide Bartesaghi also put through his own net. Alfajo Cisse scored twice for the hosts.
Milan appeared to be in control until the hour mark, when they were leading 2-1. Bologna then scored three consecutive goals to complete a notable away victory.
The result leaves Ruben Amorim’s side fifth in the Serie A table on 18 points. Bologna moved up to 11th with 11 points.
Milan’s defeat means only three teams remain unbeaten in Serie A this season: Lazio, Inter and Roma.
