Former England and Real Madrid striker Michael Owen says he cried on the journey to the airport after signing for the Spanish club.
Owen joined Real Madrid in 2004 and spent one season with the club, leaving in 2005. The transfer took him to one of the biggest clubs in world football after his time in England.
Following his spell in Madrid, Owen returned to England, where he played for Newcastle United, Manchester United and Stoke City.
