Michael Gregoritsch became Augsburg’s record goalscorer in the German Bundesliga after scoring both goals in a 2-2 draw with Bayer Leverkusen.
The Austria forward has now scored 38 goals for Augsburg in Germany’s top flight, moving beyond the club’s previous leading scorer, Iceland international Alfred Finnbogason.
Finnbogason scored for Augsburg between 2016 and 2022, but Gregoritsch surpassed his total with his two-goal performance against Bayer Leverkusen.
Augsburg currently sit third in the German Bundesliga table.
Their next match is against Werder Bremen, with the fixture scheduled for Saturday, 19 September.
