Michael Carrick needs victory over Leeds to secure Manchester United future, reports say

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick could lose his job if his side fail to beat Leeds in today’s Premier League fixture, according to The Touchline.

The 45-year-old is reported to require victory to guarantee that he remains in charge. Kick-off is scheduled for 16:00 Moscow time.

Manchester United have taken six points from their opening six matches and are 14th in the English top-flight table.

Carrick became manager in January this year, replacing Ruben Amorim after the Portuguese coach was dismissed. The Englishman signed a contract extension over the summer that keeps him at the club until 2028.

However, his position is now reportedly under immediate threat with Manchester United preparing to face Leeds.
