Manchester United board still backing Michael Carrick, says Fabrizio Romano

Fabrizio Romano says Manchester United are not currently considering dismissing manager Michael Carrick, despite growing speculation over his future.

The Red Devils have won only one of their opening six Premier League matches this season. Their latest game ended in a 1-1 draw against Tottenham, with United unable to protect their lead despite finishing the match with a numerical advantage.

That result intensified discussion about a possible change in the dugout, but Romano says the situation inside the club remains calm. Manchester United’s leadership continues to have faith in the English manager and is prepared to give him time to improve the team’s results.

The players are also continuing to support Carrick, according to Romano.
