Leon Balogun makes injury return ahead of clash against Motherwell

Since his injury sustained in the Europa League loss to Manchester United back in January, Leon Balogun hasn't featured for Rangers but the veteran defender has been pictured back in training for the Scottish Premiership side ahead of the home game against Motherwell, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Nigerian international is doubtful to make the comeback to action under newly appointed coach Barry Ferguson who confirmed that he won't be rushed back in his pre match conference.

"John Souttar trained today, Dujon and Balogun trained today as well so I just need to wait and see the kind of reaction that they have after the training session.

"It's good to see them back with the squad. As you know we are pretty light defensively but I'll obviously touch base with the doctor and the medical team", the former midfielder stated.

If passed fit, he's likely to make his return from the bench for the home clash.
