Nigeria youngster, Shukurat Oladipo has expressed delight over her big move from Nigeria Women Football League side, Robo Queens to Italian giants, AS Roma, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Italian club announced the acquisition in a statement on Tuesday, revealing that Oladipo has signed a one-and-a-half-year deal that will keep her at the club until June 30, 2027.
Oladipo who is a versatile player who can play in defense and midfield described joining AS Roma as "life-changing" and expressed her excitement about the opportunities that lie ahead
“I am really excited to join Italian giants and champions AS Roma. I am committed to keep doing my best whenever I am called upon.
“This move will definitely help my career grow as a person and as a versatile footballer passionate about the game,” she stated.
The 20-year-old who started from the Heroes Queens before joining Robo Queens was a member of the Falconets squad that won silver at the 2024 African Games in Ghana.
She also participated in the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Colombia, playing in all four of the Falconets' games. Additionally, she has earned two caps with the Super Falcons.
