Bayern forward Harry Kane says it would feel strange to be addressed as “Sir Harry Kane” following his recent Ballon d’Or success.

The 33-year-old England captain has been linked in the press with the possibility of receiving a knighthood in the future after winning football’s most prestigious individual award.

Asked whether “Sir Harry Kane” sounded good, Kane replied: “It would sound great, but it would be strange for me if everyone called me sir, so for now let’s just leave it as Harry.”

His comments were reported by Bayern & Germany from an interview with the forward.

Kane has also collected the European Golden Shoe and the Gerd Muller Trophy. He has represented Bayern since 2023.
