Juventus’ trip to Genoa ended in a 2-0 defeat on Wednesday as two goals inside the opening 30 minutes secured a second successive win for the hosts.
Genoa took control through strikes from Ekhizibue and Baldanzi, giving them a comfortable advantage before half-time and leaving Luciano Spalletti’s side with a difficult task in the second half.
Juventus had much of the possession after the break but struggled to create genuinely clear opportunities. The visitors were unable to find a way through and finished the match without scoring.
The result lifts Genoa to 13th in the Serie A table on 10 points after their back-to-back victories. Juventus, meanwhile, remain eighth with 14 points.
