Fulham FC is reportedly unwilling to trigger the €24 million option to sign Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze on a permanent deal from AC Milan, despite his impressive loan spell at Craven Cottage, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Chukwueze joined the London club on loan last summer and has since become an influential figure under manager Marco Silva. The 26-year-old has contributed three goals and four assists in 20 league appearances, earning admiration from supporters and establishing himself as a key attacking option.
According to reports from Milan Press, the Nigerian winger has grown into a fan favourite, with many supporters keen to see him remain in London beyond the current campaign. However, Fulham is said to consider the €24 million buyout clause too expensive, creating a major obstacle in negotiations.
AC Milan, on their part, are open to selling the former Villarreal CF star as they plan a squad overhaul ahead of next season.
With discussions ongoing, Chukwueze’s future remains uncertain, as Fulham weigh their options while exploring the possibility of negotiating a reduced fee for the winger.
