Aston Villa manager Unai Emery says Leon Goretzka must understand the club’s approach as he prepares for the Premier League meeting with Fulham on 31 October.
Emery discussed the midfielder’s role at his pre-match news conference ahead of the ninth-round fixture.
The Aston Villa boss also confirmed that Nicolas Jackson and Yohan Manzambi could return to action after missing the team’s previous match against Bournemouth.
Aston Villa go into the game ninth in the table with 11 points. Fulham are 15th on eight points.
