Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has appointed Bright Ozebagbe and Deniran Ortega as his two assistants with the Nigerian Olympic team, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

The appointment was disclosed on Tuesday by Kola Daniel, Special Assistant on Media in the Office of the Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC).

Chelle, who also oversees the Olympic Eagles, described Ozebagbe and Ortega as two of Nigeria’s brightest young coaches, praising their impressive profiles and expressing his excitement about working with them.

Ozebagbe is currently the Technical Adviser of Ikorodu City, having guided the Lagos-based club to a strong campaign last season, while Ortega is a UEFA-licensed coach trained by the Scottish Football Association and currently serves as one of the assistant coaches of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles.

Chelle has already presented his plans for the Olympic Eagles to the NSC leadership as preparations begin for the team’s qualification campaign.

The Olympic Eagles are expected to open camp in Abuja ahead of their qualifiers, which are scheduled to begin in November 2026.

The men’s and women’s Olympic football teams are under the supervision of the NSC, which is targeting qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games as well as a podium finish.
