The Etalons Dames begin their bid to reach the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games when they host Equatorial Guinea at Stade du 4-Aout in Ouagadougou on Thursday 8 October 2026.

Kick-off in the second-round first leg is scheduled for 18:00 GMT, with Burkina Faso aiming to take an advantage into the return match.

The game will be the first for the Burkina Faso women’s team under new head coach Issa Balbone. His side will be looking to make home advantage count as they start this two-legged tie.

Equatorial Guinea’s Nzalang Nacional will arrive with their own ambitions in the Olympic qualification campaign, meaning the hosts will need to be alert from the outset.

For Burkina Faso, the immediate target is to secure a positive result in Ouagadougou before travelling to Equatorial Guinea for the second leg. A strong first-leg performance would keep the Etalons Dames on course for Los Angeles 2028.
