Former midfielder Valon Behrami has criticised AC Milan’s handling of teenage striker Francesco Camarda, arguing that the 18-year-old needs regular first-team football to continue developing.
Camarda has made four appearances for Milan in all competitions this season, playing a total of 69 minutes.
Behrami believes the current approach is not delivering the progress expected from the young forward. He also pointed to Camarda’s contract, saying: “The problem is that he already has a very lucrative contract.”
The former midfielder’s comments centre on the limited opportunities Camarda has received and the need for a clearer path to regular competitive football.
