Bayern Munich have extended sporting director Christoph Freund’s contract until the end of June 2029.
The club announced the agreement on their official website, confirming that the Austrian has signed a new employment contract with the German champions.
Freund has held the sporting director role at Bayern Munich for just over three years. Before joining the Munich club, he worked for a lengthy period at Red Bull Salzburg.
Bayern Munich are fourth in the Bundesliga table after three matches. Vincent Kompany’s side will play their next game on Friday, 18 September, when they face Union Berlin.
