Barcelona extended their perfect start to the LaLiga season with a 3-0 victory over Getafe, securing an eighth win from eight matches and a 23rd consecutive home league victory.
Anthony Gordon and Gabriel Jesus put the hosts in control before Jules Kounde completed the scoring at the Nou Camp, matching his LaLiga goal tally from last season in the process.
Getafe had built their early-season campaign around defensive resilience, but that strength was undone inside two minutes.
Barcelona had forced the visitors deep into their own half when Gordon collected the ball on the edge of his area. His shot took a deflection off a Getafe defender and changed direction, leaving goalkeeper David Soria wrong-footed as it found the net.
Hansi Flick's side continued to press for a second goal. Dani Olmo appeared certain to score after breaking into a promising position, but Nemanja Gudelj produced a last-ditch block to keep Getafe in the contest.
The second goal arrived soon afterwards, although it was again helped by an error from the visitors. Zaid Romero gave the ball away on the edge of his own penalty area, allowing Jesus to take possession and drive a composed finish into the bottom corner.
Barcelona remained dominant after half-time and created a succession of opportunities. Jesus came close to adding another when he arrived unmarked at the back post, but headed over from Gerard Martin's delivery.
Gordon then burst through the centre and tried to beat Soria, but the Getafe goalkeeper stood firm, blocking the effort with his legs.
Soria was called into action again shortly before the hour mark, making an excellent one-handed save to deny Olmo. He could do nothing to keep out Barcelona's third, however, as Kounde reacted quickest inside the six-yard box to turn home Lamine Yamal's cross.
With victory secured, Barcelona controlled the closing stages and appeared capable of adding further goals. Fermin Lopez was presented with a clear opportunity to make it 4-0, but sent a left-footed volley over the bar.
The result leaves Barcelona with eight wins from as many LaLiga rounds. It also extended their unbeaten home head-to-head record against Getafe to 22 matches, while this was their ninth successive home victory in the fixture.
Getafe, meanwhile, suffered a fourth consecutive top-flight away defeat without scoring.
Jules Kounde was named Flashscore Man of the Match.
