Barcelona’s group of captains have arranged a barbecue for the entire squad as the club seeks to regroup following successive defeats by Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
Barcelona opened the season with 11 consecutive victories, but those results were followed by a 4-2 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League and a 2-1 defeat by Real Madrid in the Spanish league.
The setbacks have disappointed both the players and supporters.
According to Barca Universal, citing Spanish newspaper Sport, the barbecue will take place at Barcelona’s training ground on Wednesday. The players are expected to cook meat together as part of an effort to strengthen team unity after the two disappointing results.
Barcelona’s players did not train on Monday or Tuesday.
Their next match is on 31 October, when they face Alaves at home.
