This comes after the resignation of Coach Daniel Amokachi after the team's change in poor performances.
Samuel Addingi was appointed immediately after the resignation as the new caretaker Coach before the appointment of Ganaru.
Baba Ganaru, who rescued Akwa United from relegation last season, has been called upon to help Lobi Stars, who are bottom of the table with 23 points after 25 matches.
The Pride of Benue will battle Niger Tornadoes in a North Central derby this Wednesday in Bauchi.
