Ajax Amsterdam consider free-agent move for Yves Bissouma

Ajax Amsterdam are considering a move for Yves Bissouma, who is available after his contract with Tottenham ended, according to De Telegraaf.

The 30-year-old Mali international is being assessed as the Dutch club look to strengthen their midfield during the free-agent market. Bissouma has extensive experience at the highest level, having played for Lille, Brighton and Tottenham.

His arrival would give Ajax Amsterdam another option in the centre of the pitch. Jordi Cruyff is understood to be particularly supportive of the proposed deal.

However, Ajax Amsterdam face competition from several European clubs for Bissouma’s signature and will need to persuade the midfielder to choose the Netherlands as his next destination.

The possible move would continue an ambitious transfer window for Ajax Amsterdam, who have already signed Marcos Leonardo, Viktor Tsygankov, Sofyan Amrabat and Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
