Nigeria's Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen was on the score sheet to help Galatasaray earn maximum points in the Turkish league on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Osimhen scored from the spot in the first half to score his 12th goal of the season in the league and give Galatasaray a slim 1-0 victory over Konyaspor at Rams Park.
Osimhen was taken down after chasing the defender, VAR checked and gave it as a penalty for the hosts. He stepped up to take the spot kick, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way in the 22nd minute.
It would have been two for the Nigerian goal poacher, but his 54th goal was ruled out for offside.
The former Napoli Star who played for 90 minutes also saw three other shots on goal in the 62nd, 69th, and 78th saved by the goalkeeper.
The win keeps Galatasaray top of the log with 54 points, 9 points better than second-place Fenerbache which has a game in hand.
