Friends, associates, and enthusiasts of the Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Alhaji Shehu Dikko on Wednesday organized a novelty match to formally welcome him to the office, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The match, between Team Dikko and Team Nigeria, ended 3-1 in favor of the former, with former Nigeria internationals Brown Ideye and Garba Lawal among the scorers. It was a carnival of sorts as Dikko himself captained Team Dikko and was involved in some of the excellent moves of the evening.
Dikko himself led Team Dikko (in white), while former Nigeria international and one-time NFF Exco member Dominic Iorfa led our green-shirted Team Nigeria.
The NFF president Ibrahim Musa Gusau and general secretary Mohammed Sanusi were with some of the players including Mutiu Adepoju, Garba Lawal, Victor Ezeji, Ogenyi Onazi, Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa, and Chidi Okonkwo.
