Giorgi Mamardashvili could leave Liverpool in the summer of 2027 if Alisson Becker extends his contract and continues as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Alisson remains Liverpool’s leading goalkeeper and his current deal is due to expire in the middle of next year. However, according to journalist James Pearce, Mamardashvili is unlikely to stay at Anfield beyond the end of the 2026-27 season if the Brazil international renews his terms and retains his status as the Reds’ number one.
The Georgia goalkeeper is not prepared to accept a reserve role for a third successive season. Mamardashvili joined Liverpool amid competition for the position but has so far struggled to displace Alisson in the starting line-up.
The 25-year-old has made only one appearance during the current campaign, featuring in Liverpool’s 3-1 EFL Cup victory over Tottenham. Transfermarkt values the goalkeeper at €28m.
