This comes after an unmet expectation and as such, IFK Goteborg and Suleiman Abdullahi have mutually agreed to terminate the player's contract, making the striker a free agent eligible to sign with any club.

“Sulle has struggled despite several lingering injuries. Neither he nor we feel that we got the most out of each other, but we part as very good friends. Sulle is a nice guy who we wish success in his next club", sports director Hannes Stiller stated at the end.

The striker who joined the club in the summer of 2022 from Union Berlin signed a three-year contract. During his time with the Blåvitt, he made 30 first-team appearances, scoring one goal.

Before joining IFK Goteborg, Abdullahi's career included stints with Norwegian side Viking FK as well as German clubs Eintracht Braunschweig and Union Berlin.
