Paris Saint-Germain have rejected a €120m proposal from Al Hilal for Achraf Hakimi, according to Fichajes, choosing to keep the Morocco international as a central part of their squad.
The offer was made while the transfer window remains open in Saudi Arabia, despite the closure of the French market. Al Hilal had hoped to make a major statement by securing the right-back, but PSG were unwilling to open negotiations over a player they regard as fundamental to Luis Enrique’s plans.
Hakimi remains an established first choice in the Paris club’s tactical system. The scale of Al Hilal’s proposal would have given PSG a substantial profit on the €60m they paid to sign him from Inter Milan in 2021, but the reigning French champions have prioritised sporting stability over a lucrative sale.
The 27-year-old is under contract at PSG until 30 June 2029. His annual salary is reported to be €14,550,000, equivalent to 9,457,500,000 FCFA. Transfermarkt currently values the defender at €80m, meaning Al Hilal’s reported offer was significantly higher than that assessment.
Hakimi has become one of the key figures in PSG’s squad since arriving from Inter Milan. His pace, attacking contribution and ability to operate as a modern full-back have made him an important component of Enrique’s set-up.
The Morocco captain has also spoken about his close relationship with the club and his progress in Paris. In a recent discussion about his historic achievement, Enrique and the 2026 World Cup, he said: “We have become a family”.
That bond, alongside his long-term contract, helps explain PSG’s firm position in response to Al Hilal’s approach. The French club have once again demonstrated their unwillingness to consider offers for players viewed as essential to the team, even when the financial terms would produce a major capital gain.
PSG are preparing to begin their Champions League campaign with a league-phase fixture against Slovan Bratislava.
