Enyimba Football Club of Aba, Nigeria’s most decorated football team, has taken a significant step in enhancing staff welfare by acquiring an official residence for its coaching personnel, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.
The newly secured property, a one-storey building, features two three-bedroom flats and four self-contained one-bedroom apartments, offering modern and comfortable living arrangements.
According to the club’s Sporting Director, Ifeanyi Ekwueme, the facility is equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, including two standby generator sets and overhead water tanks, ensuring uninterrupted electricity and water supply. “This is the first time Enyimba coaches are enjoying such a welfare facility,” Ekwueme told Completesports.com.
He attributed the achievement to the effective leadership of the Nwankwo Kanu-led management, praising the former Super Eagles captain for his vision and commitment to transforming the club.
“Kanu is a globally celebrated football icon who understands professional football management practices. His leadership is redefining Enyimba’s image to align with its stature in Nigerian and African football,” Ekwueme noted.
In addition to improving living conditions for the coaching staff, the current management has also prioritized security at the Enyimba International Stadium. A new security post has been completed to ensure the safety of fans and property around the clock.
“The security post at the stadium is now fully operational, guaranteeing 24-hour safety before, during, and after games,” Ekwueme revealed.
These initiatives are part of Kanu’s broader vision to professionalize Enyimba FC and elevate the club’s standing in both local and continental football.
