The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has imposed a fine of N3.5 million on El-Kanemi Warriors for security violations during their match against Ikorodu City, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

In addition to the fine, the NPFL has ordered that the El-Kanemi Warriors Stadium in Maiduguri be closed to fans for the rest of the season. The decision follows incidents where El-Kanemi Warriors supporters damaged Ikorodu City’s vehicle after the match and threw objects onto the field during the game.

The club has been given the option to submit a written response, either accepting the penalty or opting to appear before a disciplinary panel for further consideration.

Adam Agba'a Mustapha made it 3 to 3SC on 63 minutes to complete the damage for Gbenga Ogunbote Boys after his left footed shot at the edge of the box was punched into the net by the goalkepper.
