Carvajal plays down Vinicius Junior concerns after difficult start

Former Real Madrid footballer Dani Carvajal has played down concerns surrounding Vinicius Junior, saying the Brazil winger’s current difficulties are not unprecedented.

Vinicius has endured a difficult start to the season and was recently handed a four-match La Liga suspension after being sent off during Real Madrid’s match against Villarreal.

Carvajal, who was asked about the winger’s situation, said: “It has been worse.”

Real Madrid will return to action on 1 November, when they travel to face Racing.
