Joe Aribo and Ebere Paul Onuachu emerged as Southampton’s heroes, scoring both goals to secure their first win since November, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Aribo and Onuachu netted in the first and second half for Southampton, securing a crucial 2-1 victory over Ipswich on their home turf on Saturday.

Joe Aribo found the back of the net for Southampton and his second for the season. Mateus Fernandes's cross deflected into the path of Aribo who found the back of the net with a first-time strike from 12 yards.

He opened the scoring in the 21st minute before Ipswich leveled the match through Liam Delap surged through and casually finished past Ramsdale in the 31st minute.

Paul Onuachu netted his second goal for Southampton after Kamaldeen's shot was parried before Onuachu followed up to put the visitors ahead in the 87 minutes.

The win marks their first since November and the first under Ivan Juric’s leadership.
